No pictures but the beast is painted. I used Polly Scale Dark Sea Gray. Things are on track for finishing on time. Next is metalizer on the rotor hub and linkage and some gloss coat.

I do want to add that the windscreen snapped into place to solid fit without gluing. When was the last time we saw that?

So as the end is in sight, the only down side to this kit was the dimples in the windows (an Airfix regular back in the day). While sanding them down helped, they never really went away.

What was supposed to be my wrap-up turned out to be a fix up. I mentioned earlier that the MPC decals where thick, glossy with lots of gooey glue (coined one there) but thought they went on OK. Next morning I returned to the bench to finish things up when I saw that all the decals curled up and fell off the model. So..................

State of play is now damage repaired, freash decals located in the spares bin and will finish up tonight after work.

Shame about the decals.
Did you try with very hot water? That will melt the thick layer and help the decals settle better. Like with some Hasegawa and Academy decals.
It looks beautiful, hope to see it done soon.

I am calling this one finished. Proper decals even though the banner may not be quite accurate.







Couple of comments about the kit. I found it to be a very nice build. Overall the fit was great after a little fiddling with the cabin floor to get it aligned just right. My only complaint is the clear parts that had those terrible sink holes in them. After sanding them down and adding a coat of Krystal Klear, it was a real let down.

I will try to get glamour shots up later today.
