Yes, I think it definitely needs a pilot.

A fat pilot!
Seriously though, a pilot would give this diminutive machine a real sense of scale.

I found a pilot who is fastening his helmet from the Revell pilot set, I think he will do nicely.

Great idea, the Revell pilot adds a bit of drama(?) to it.

"Drama" I think one of these with the rotors turning would be Drama enough for anyone especially the pilot.Molly-new wrote:Great idea, the Revell pilot adds a bit of drama(?) to it.

Re: Splash's Flettner FL 282
A good day on the bench had me working on four models.
I have used part plastic and part brass rod on the u/c and pleased to announce it not a tail sitter. As you can see this is not a big a/c when you put it side by side to a chinook.

I'll be the first one with the obligatory saying 'my what big hands you've got' !
This little thing is so cute. The rudder/tailplane looks very odd though.

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Slight glitch after looking at some photos of the original a/c I realised I had mounted the u/c to far forward, so it had to come off and be reset further back. It now looks better balanced.

Note to myself I must read the instructions, I must read the instructions, I must read the instructions.
After giving the top a coat of RLM 70 using a hairy stick and thinking that looks cool, I checked the instructions to realise the single seat version that I have built, should have be all over grey Dhooooooooo. No problem out with the air brush and 10 minutes later know one will be any wiser.

It looks really great Splash. Interesting and unusual.
I wonder if there's a larger scale version available?
