Should look good in those colours and a real change from the usual Olive Drab.

I concur with Alan on that lump. You won't see much of it when the fuselage is put together.

Seats it is then.

Aha !! Now it makes sense.

Just done a test fit and you are correct. All that concern for a part that won't be seen.

I have fitted the extra seats in position but the camera battery has gone flat, pictures soon.

As promised, the completed interior:

Whilst cleaning up the fuselage I struck on the idea of opening up one of the crew compartment front doors, so out with the saw and off she came. :-D

It was at this point that I realised that the saw had removed quite a bit of the door itself, both top and bottom, so I have had to add some plastic card to replace the missing bits. I just love making work for myself.

The windows have been fitted in as well, so I should be able to get her buttoned up soon and on to the painting.

Fuselage together and quite a good fit, the main area of concern is on the top behind the rotor head:

A touch of filler should sort it out.

Hey Chip. That Huey looks like it is about to go somewhere far away to do something dangerous. I love it.

Progress is slow with the build up to Christmas but I have been able to get the rotor blades and relative parts painted, and the fuselage masked up ready for spraying:

It should get primed tonight.

An unexpected visitor over Christmas meant no bench time as originally planned, and on returning today I have found that the decal sheet is totally unusable so I will have to resource some new ones.

I did manage to get her painted since the last update:

Bench time is going to be in short supply for the next few days aswell which is a shame as I cannot see me getting this finished within the allotted timescale, NOT a good finish to my 2014 GB statistics. :frown:

Painting looks very nice. Whose album did you sacrifice for the painting turntable?
(Good idea btw)

Hey Chip. That area behind the "hell hole" was fixed cooling louvers and the filler option was the best way to go I thinks.

Visitors can be a blessing for the soul but a pain in the proverbial when you want to do some model-making. Sorry to hear that the decals aren't up to the job Chip but the paint job looks great. A good choice of colour scheme. :)

Going really well this. Love the Israeli camo colors.
I have the same problem with bench time next days, and I wont be able to finish any of mine.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...
