What?
The DWs are looking lovely. Shame about the paint peeling off.
Tank is also looking good. If you struggle with the knights, post them to me and I'll paint them.

Cheers, Ian!

I managed to patch up the Dewoitine paintwork last night - with the decals in place, I'll hardly notice any remaining issues, thankfully.

OK, sun's up..... :ha:

In the immortal words of Gold Leader, "Almost there...almost there...."

The Cromwell had the tarps and packs painted and aerials added - it just needs a few little touch ups and a coat of matt varnish:

Image

The Dewoitines have had all the parts attached and decals added - rather mixed quality with Hasegawa as usual. The white is not quite white and isn't terribly opaque, the blue is rather suspect. Still, they settled down just fine. Both models need some touch ups, weathering and a dullcoat to finish them up (Hobbyboss on left, Hasegawa on right):

I haven't touched the soldiers this past week, all quiet on that front - silent knights.... That'll be my task for the final few days of this build!

That Cromwell is nice, I'd like to get one.

No matter the quality of those D 520s, they have to be better then the old Heller kits.

Wonder how they compare to the Frog version?

Cheers, Chris.

I've had both the Heller and Frog kits in the past - these two are light years ahead....

Great job on the Cromwell. As a bit of a tread head, the Cromwell is one of my favourite British tanks and this new Airfix kit, although not in my preferred scale of 1/35th, has to be worth a look. The Dewoitines also look excellent, there's something about those early war French schemes and it's a subject I've yet to try.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Been waiting for today to airbrush because I knew I'd get home before dark. Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worse and we (finally) have snow...

So, I'm going to take a short extension and hopefully finish up tomorrow morning...!

I'm calling these done. I got a varnish dullcoat on the D.520s and the Cromwell this morning, and added the finishing touches to the figures. So, here they all are:

Ugh, why do my photos look blurry? And I see I forgot to paint the tailwheel on the D.520...

Anyways, many thanks to Secret Santa for the gifts - this was fun. Oh, and the link between the three? They all fought in Northern France, in 1415, 1940 and 1944. I couldn't find a single location where they all crossed paths, but the general area of Meaux seems to be a candidate.

Nice set, Paul. As I've commented on the tank and planes previously I'll limit my comment here to the great detail painting on the figures. Lovely!

They all look terriffic!
The detail painting on the figures are great. Impressive given the scale.

Don't worry about the wheel on the D.520, it's just been faded in the sun flying upside down.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...
