Beany's Revell 1/48 Apollo Lunar Module
After last years obviously drug inspired, hippy-dippy, psychedelic choice of subject by my Secret Santa across the pond, I was rather relieved to see a good old British post mark on receipt of my package this year. My wife immediately took it from me though so I genuinely don't know who it is from!
Here is a picture of last year's build (great fun!) welcoming this year's new arrival...
I am actually working away from home over Christmas but will be taking this gift to unwrap in my hotel room on Christmas morning as soon as I get in from what will no doubt be a grueling 12 hour night shift - the things we do for money eh?!
Cheers
Al.

I feel for you, Al. This is my first Christmas Day not working for several years so I know what it's like.

Re: Beany's Revell 1/48 Apollo Lunar Module
I'm back home from working away now, and here is my gift, with which I am delighted!!!. My Secret Santa knows me well obviously, and in the absence of a Revell 1/48 Ocean Of Storms kit (the Apollo 12 landing site where Commander Alan Bean was the 4th man to walk on the moon) then this Revell 1/48 Tranquility Base (Apollo 11) kit will do very nicely
I'll take sprue shots and progress shots when I make a start on her later today.
Many thanks Secret Santa
Cheers
Al.

Wow, haven't seen that kit in at least 30 years, I think I built it twice badly!

Obligatory box and contents shots...
Nice lunar base included
Chris's "... haven't seen that kit in 30 odd years" would be in keeping with the date moulded in here and on the decal sheet
Neil and Buzz also supplied
Cheers

Nice pressie Al! I'm jealous!
Looking forward to your build. I don't have one in the stash, but may have to fix that at some time in the future!
