Thanks for all of the messages guys. I didn't want it to be a downer - Dad had his first stroke about 10 years ago now and had to go into a home then because Mum couldn't cope. It lead to dementia which gradually got worse so he hasn't really recognised any of us for 7 or 8 years, and to be honest we're all a bit relieved and just glad he is at peace now. The time I've lost is on the practical side of thing - phoning people and funeral arrangements and so on. The funeral is next Tuesday so I'll still try and get the build finished by the end of the month.

The last few years of my dad's life were blighted with Alzheimer's. A truly awful condition and by the time he finally passed away, the illness had completely changed him, it was horrible to witness. You have my deepest sympathy Al.
