There's some nice detail in there, John. Hope you manage to pick it all out.
And it's nice to see some 'proper' money again.

Small but perfectly formed, there is some really nice detail in that kit. It's been a long time since I last saw a shilling coin!

Yay! Got some bench time. Took no time to clip off and clean up all the body parts - they are flash free and the sprue gates aren't difficult. If I were to say anything, the plastic is a bit thick - the side walls are tank-armor thick !

Image

The parts fit together cleanly, the interior pieces are almost snap-tite - very nice.

I'm now at the point where apparently the "front crew" need to be fitted before I can put on the front plate & all. I'll let the glue all dry and do any clean-ups, then test a crew to see if they can go in after, then decide what to do.

The tracks will take some clean-up - 6 sprue points and a seam running lengthwise around, so that'll burn up a couple days.

Regardless, it is time to get the crew all de-sprued and cleaned up so I can start painting. I do have some Dan Taylor figures enroute but they can be added in the crew compartment later. Hmmm, I also have some Milicast 76-scale equipment and weapons that might work here also ....

Ought to think about a base for all this ....

I see what you mean about the armour, those guys could probably take a hit from a Panther sheltering in there  Still, these little models do look good though and a base would set them off very nicely.

I have gotten the odd idea to not do these as a 3-vehicle section, but maybe 3 different vehicles - one in North Africa Caunter scheme, one in Italy/Sicily scheme, and one in NW Europe scheme. That does cause some problems for the crew uniforms for the N.African vehicle, but I'll think about it - maybe a little judicious filing will make shorts and short-sleeves ....

Got out my paints and started doing basic color on each -- Portland Stone, Light Mud, and SCC.15. The only crew I need to worry about right away are the front crew and I should get started on them soon.

Great progress John!

I've built a couple of their 15mm kits and was impressed. Very interested to follow your build.

BTW - great idea with the three different theatres!

No pix, but I cut the driver & assistant from the sprues and fiddled with them. I can put the front plate on, then insert the driver on the left side and slide into position on the right side. Then a slightly trimmed wheel and hands will slide down and lock into the front plate and drivers hands. Then the assistant slides right into place on the left side, as does the Bren gun.

In short, I can now glue the front plate on, fill seams, touch up paint and move on to camouflage.

Cool !!!
