Re: Andrew's Prezzie: A Christmas Jug
I've ordered a Pavla canopy set - with razorback, Malcolm and bubble canopies. It should arrive from Blighty in a week or so - plenty of time to complete the GB.
Cheers

Thanks Paul!PaulBradley wrote:Looks very nice, Andrew!
A token effort today on this build, I'm afraid. The belly tank and bombs got resprayed!
That's all folks!

Coming together well with the decals Andrew - I have to say that those are the largest under wing stars and bars I've ever seen on a single-engined subject! Oh dear, I see that another canopy has gone AWOL - that carpet monster of yours has a voracious appetite for clear parts
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: Andrew's Prezzie: A Christmas Jug
Usually it's just me putting down the canopy and forgetting where I've put it. This one is a genuine "I dropped it on the floor and it has disappeared entirely" scenario. Presumably it will reappear through a wormhole on Skaro, so Davros can recycle it to make a few more Daleks...ShaunW wrote:Coming together well with the decals Andrew - I have to say that those are the largest under wing stars and bars I've ever seen on a single-engined subject! Tonight looks busy, getting any modelling done might be tricky...

Re: Andrew's Prezzie: A Christmas Jug
I have managed to put the undercarriage on!
It went together much more easily than the undercarriage on the Revell P-47d!
The final assembly can only be when the replacement canopy gets here from Bicester.
The under the wings stuff can go on next!

And here is the "under the wings" stuff, compliments of Herr Revell and his P-47d bubbletop kit.
There are a few other things to go on - gunsight, tailwheel doors and an aerial wire.
Cheers

Excellent Jug Andrew. We like to see nice Jugs on here. Large ones or small.

Re: Andrew's Prezzie: A Christmas Jug
Over-size insignia, under both wings -- because of the ground-attack role and "resemblance" to a FW because of the radial engine ... which doesn't say much for GI eyesight I guess ....

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Re: Andrew's Prezzie: A Christmas Jug
The Pavla canopy arrived today. Very impressive service. Posted in the UK on Monday, delivered here in Ottawa on Friday.
I hope to get a bit of time to do something on this build on Saturday.
Cheers
