Adrian's Viking Christmas *** DNF ***
Hello All,
Been away over Christmas, but now I'm back. I'd like to thank my Secret Santa for their gift - a great choice!
I just have to finish a customer's build and then I'll be right to go in a day or two.
Just like to say it's great to be back in a group build gents!
Regards,
Adrian

Re: Adrian's Viking Christmas
I have a couple of those but just trying to come up with the right what if build(s). Going to do one as a Fire Bomber (the FireKing) and the other probably in Dutch markings but possibly Norwegian or maybe RN during the Falklands...

Re: Adrian's Viking Christmas
Very nice Adrian. I like the markings in the boxart. Is that the only choice with the kit?

Looks like two options from the decal sheet shownNarayan wrote:Very nice Adrian. I like the markings in the boxart. Is that the only choice with the kit?

Re: Adrian's Viking Christmas
And... we're back!
Sorry about the delay. Customer's commission is done!
So now back to important S.Santa business. As you can see, construction has begun with the cockpit.
I know this is a Revell boxing, but it doesn't look like a Revell kit. Can anyone confirm whether this is Italeri or Hasegawa?

Scale mates shows it's a rebox of the Hasegawa kit

The decals look nice and colourful in this boxing. And there's cockpit detail - are we sure it's Hasegawa ?

Re: Adrian's Viking Christmas
Thanks for that Tony, I knew it would be one or 'tuther.
Cockpit done. Not going to too much trouble as it will have a heavily tinted canopy.
Must admit its a pretty good moulding considering its age!

That looks like a very interesting kit. Great start with the cockpit.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Re: Adrian's Viking Christmas
Evening all!
Thanks very much Shaun! A bit of a pain as I only had 10 days to do it and the Academy kit was missing the rubber wheels - had to use a set from an Airfix boxing!
Bit more done today. Cockpit fixed to fuselage. Decided to add weight behind cockpit (didn't have a small enough sinker to fit in the nose).
And fuselage halves and wings assembled.
Still amazed at the fit of this, even if it is Hasegawa
Does anyone know how old the moulding is?
Thanks for looking,
Adrian
