Reasons to be CBKful, Pts. 1,2,3

Post by mattbacon »

"Why don't you get back to the shed?
Why don't you get back to the shed?....

Sticking Airfix kits, not losing bits
All the Roy Cross pictures, planes and boats
Hannants catalogues, ageing Frogs
Matchbox multicolours and ....

Mini-paint plans, old kit fans
On the shelf at Woolworths, blister packs
Sticker shouting "NEW", cement not glue
Fly it round the room, dodging flak

Airfix Magazines, biscuits from Peak Freans,
Observers book of Airplanes...."

This is hard work! Anyway, you get the idea...

There's another kind of verse that goes like this:

Something nice to study, phoning up a buddy
Being in my nuddy
Saying 'okey-dokey', singalonga Smokey
Coming out of chokey

... and for anyone who has NO IDEA WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT:

bestest,
M.

Good old Ian Dury.

A great talent with a wicked sense of humour. Sadly missed.

It's hard enough to sing along to the original. I think I was in step a couple of times...

It was the first single I owned. My Dad bought it for me, although I always secretly suspected that he wanted it himself but didn't want my Mother to know.

He was always borrowing it :) .
