Martin's List
Folks,
I'm one of those odd people that only builds aircraft, so I'm afraid I've only got wingy things here. I've got a fair number of classics already built as well:
1/72
Airfix Hs 126
Airfix Marauder
FROG Meteor Mk IV
FROG Mustang Mk II
FROG Beaufighter
Matchbox Meteor NF.12
Matchbox A-4M
Matchbox Hellcat
Matchbox Hurricane
As you can probably tell, most of my stash is 1/72nd but as an alternative to the above, if someone was willing to sell me some 1/48th WWII classics from their stash, I would consider doing a couple of those, eg: Airfix Hurri I, Spit V, Stuka. <Just remembered: also got an Airfix Mossie FB.VI in the stash>
An idea of what would be most welcome in November would be appreciated.
<Another thought: I have done two of the Classic Trinity of Beaufighters; if I did the FROG one this time, then we could have a "compare and contrast" of Classic Beaus at Telford. I also have the Airfix Meteor built on the shelf; if I did Matchbox and FROG, then ditto.>
regards,
Martin

Marauder would be nice, too.

Re: Martin's List
I agree, the Marauder would add a little gravitas to the table.
Don't forget the nose weight though

Re: Martin's List
So, Airfix Marauder and FROG Beau.
Should be possible between now and November. OK, that's the current plan then.

Re: Martin's List
So, the Beaufighter is underway for the FROG GB. However, the Marauder isn't started and I have doubts of my ability to do that one given my current modelling malaise. We'll see.

Re: Martin's List
I still think the Three Beaus would make a terrific min-theme! A base of some sort and short descriptive would round them off nicely.

Re: Martin's List
OK, so I definitely plan to submit the Beaus. Hopefully, I will be there in person, but if not, someone will have to keep my babies kits.
I am happy to bring both Airfix and Matchbox Mossies too if required.
Does anyone have a FROG to make up the triple?
I can also bring an Airfix Lysander (SEAC covert ops job), and a British Pacific Fleet FROG triple if required:
Corsair, Barracuda, Firefly.

Martin

Re: Martin's List
So, should I aim to bring all of the above? Please let me know.
Also, what is needed in the way of display bases? I haven't a clue what I'm going to do with the Beaus as a base. Anyone any bright ideas?
Finally, if I bring the other kits, what is required regarding an explanation card?

Martin
