Dazzled's List

Post by Dazzled »

Firstly pre-built:

Matchbox 1/32nd Auto Union Type D
Airfix 1/72nd German E-Boat
Airfix 1/72nd RAF Rescue Launch (In diorama)

Part built. One's I'd like to finish anyway ;-) :

Airfix 1/12th Bentley Supercharged
Airfix HO/OO North African Outpost
Matchbox 1/72nd H.P. Victor K.2

Not started:

Matchbox 1/72nd H.P. Heyford
Airfix 1/72nd Sepecat Jaguar
Matchbox 1/32nd Tiger Moth
Airfix 1/72nd Junkers Ju52
Airfix 1/600th HMS Victorious
Matchbox 1/76th M19 Tank Transporter

There are a few others I might consider. I will be building the Airfix 0/400 sometime soon and I have a quite advanced unfinished build Matchbox Flower Class Corvette. Finding the room to work on this might be an issue though  .

Looking forward to focussing these down a bit. :)

In the interests of a balanced table, I'd say the ships/boats - the Vicky would be really nice to see all done up. As you've already finished two, the Vicky and corvette would be good projects.

Good point Paul and taken on board (no pun intended ;-) ). I'll try and find some room to work on the Corvette. My bench is rather cramped at the moment.

Given it's personal attachment, and the reason why it became a DNF, I'd very much like to build the Bentley too.

Having just read Tom's list I'd like to add another couple of suspects. I hadn't considered Kielkraft models but I do have completed models of a Fowler Z7 ploughing engine and an Aveling and Porter steam roller. I also have the GWR delivery van unbuilt.

They won't exactly fill a table though ;-)

...but with Tom's bus, they'd occupy a nice little corner.

I think I'll have to get to pencilling in a bit of time to build my Victorious.

I can't believe it's already April

Took the plunge today and ordered some etch from WEM.

I'm not telling Mrs Dazzled how much I spent  although I have emphasised that it seemed very good value ;-)

I think I got away with it.

WEM still haven't delivered on the etched parts.

I think I need to have a word.

I think you do - they are usually very good at comms, so drop them a quick order status query.

Yes, I have always found them courteous and responsive - in fact if there is a problem, they usually inform me of it at order time.

I did get an e-mail a couple of days after I ordered saying that the items were out of stock but I should receive them within 3 weeks anyway. As it's been over 5 weeks I sent an e-mail on the weekend.

I think I may have to phone them.

I do wish companies would let you know about stock issues before you place an order :frown:
