I get a little shut eye and almost miss the show. Great work.

I like those little Russian fighters, lots of character, and an interesting idea for the markings.

These I-16s were made in a tractor factory and any old paint was slopped on, right? at least, thast'll be my excuse for the paintjob :mrgreen:

Lettering turned out ok. Decals printed poorly but this is a blitz...no going back.

I have to confess to a slight cheat - I realised after I took the final photo of the blitz that I left off the metallic ring on the cowling :evil:
I had time to do it during the build but just forgot in the rush. I applied it post hoc using the BMF I had out for the purpose.

Nice finish and interesting paint scheme. I have one of these in the attic that could do with a restoration... :idea:
