Re: Tim's little black numbers **Part two**
The grey one has had a coat of Dark Green camouflage applied. I've decided to go for a retro early 70s RAF look.
Next time you see the black one it should be finished.

Great work with these two Tim. It's doubtful anyone produces their best work under blitz conditions, it's finishing that really counts The green/grey camo really suits the former grey only model.

It helps if the kits go together well, which these haven't. It will be good to get them finished as so far this year I'm on a big fat zero.ShaunW wrote:It's doubtful anyone produces their best work under blitz conditions, it's finishing that really counts .
The black one has been varnished but the undercarriage doors will need a bit of touching up. I still have to get one back from the carpet monster. The camo one has had a second coat on the underside. The green will need a second coat too but the paint is drying quicker than the grey I was using yesterday.

The USAF F-19 is finished. I did have a moment when, after finding the missing u/c door I turned the model upside down to fit the door and the canopy fell onto the floor. I found it easily enough though.
I can concentrate on the other one now.

Well done on your first completion of this pair and I'm glad you had a stroke of luck in finding the canopy before crushing it underfoot!

Great work, you do need to kits to play ball during a Blitz. I look forward to seeing the RAF with some decals on.

Thanks for the comments. The RAF one is now Kleared for decaling.
I've got some suitably sized roundels and serial numbers and I might be able to find some squadron markings too.

These are going great. The black one looks smooth.
Yes, good thing you found the canopy quickly. Carpet monster can be your worst nightmare during a blitz. Three hours left. Plenty of time.

Looking good. The black and camo contrast nicely against each other.

Re: Tim's little black numbers **Part two**
Once again it was close but I've got the two tiddlers finished.
RAF markings were from various Modeldecal sheets. The fin flash was made from pieces of red/white/blue with the white removed.
I'll take some better photos for the Gallery tomorrow.

I missed the end of this one as well as your Arado blitz. They've both turned out well, a great bit of blitzing!
