Jeff's Mystery starting 8FEB14 0 dark 30 US Time***finished
Re: Jeff's Mystery starting 8FEB14 0 dark 30 US Time
About time for a "sammich" Getting a little rumbly in the tumbly. So here we are at this point in time.
I have applied Tamiya Surface Primer to the seams to check thinks out. I love the stuff.
Couple of little dimples to clean up also.
I wanted to show a burnt metal look to the thrust reversers in the tail cone. I started with Testors Gold and added Testors Steel to it for the metallic burnt look. Hope you agree.
Started working on the landing gear also with the tires painted set aside.
Until nex time........

Looking great, Jeff! (the build, not you; I've no idea what you look like! ).
I'll pop back in once I've made the pizza for the kids.

Andrew can pick up some mozzarella for you while he's out, Martin. Do you want him to get anchovies while he's at it?

Forget the "sammich" I am all for the Chicken Pot Pie.
Plus 15 minutes and that is history.
Airframe off and getting the lower surfaces painted. Airfix gives you a few optional pieces for the gear doors and with a little blue tack putty, everything is attached. And that cuts down on masking duties.
Now....another trip to the music vault.

I'm all for chiken pot pie too Jeff, that looks very tasty. I'm cooking that well known Yorkshire dish, chilli con carne, tonight

Getting into the afternoon on this side of the world and time to pu the spurs to this build.
Time check:
And as you can see, it's on it's legs now with the lower surfaces painted Poly Scale Lt Ghost Grey or what I call close enough.
Lets see, what do I have now......

Yes, sort of like the "hairspray" method, might work

Now I have the tan color onn the upper surface. Poly Scale SEA Tan and again close enough.
Overview. I will use the snake method for masking the Israeli Blue.
Here we go again.........

Nearly there now, Jeff. It should look sweet in the Israeli camo colours.
Andrew,
It's OK; I had anchovies - and salami - and mozzarella - and . . .

Martin
