Do I see a lady in bikini with platinum hair??? :ha:
And her buddy is resting behind that pot.
The lady and her friend are from an Airfix Beach Buggy I finished a couple of years ago. I'm still working on the figures, as you can see.

I'm having more luck with this one than I did with the F-19s. The filler has been sanded down and some primer applied to the relevant areas.

This will now be a straight 24 hour build as I'll be starting on the painting asap. I've also decided that the ill fitting cowling will be an ill fitting cowling. After all, even the real ones can't all have fitted perfectly, can they?

Thanks Jeff. I've got the first coat of paint on so that's me finished for tonight.

It will need a second coat so it'll be an early start in the morning.

Good going !

BTW, I endorse Prisca's endorsement of Vallejo putty - I have almost totally switched to it in the last couple months.

The second coat of paint is on.

Image

It looks like either my paint is too thick or the first coat hadn't fully dried as it ain't pretty. :frown:

Image

hopefully it won't look too bad under a few coats of Klear.

It was a close one again but the Arado is finished.

At 10.30 it was Kleared.

Image

By 11.00 the decals were on. The national markings were slightly out of register so there was a white line down one side unless they were trimmed really close.

Image

Then it was matt varnish, add a few little odds and ends and do some touching up of the paintwork to finish it off.

Image

Image

A nice little kit, it went together well and had nice detail for it's age.

Shame about the paint problem and out of register decals. I had that same trouble on my Heinkel. Couldn't see the white around the cross edge until I put them on.

Despite that I think it looks nice. :)

Unfortunately due to work I missed the last few rounds of this Tim, but very well done on completion and it's turned out very well. Shame about the out of register decals, but there's little or nothing you can do about such issues in a blitz if you don't have any spares handy.

Nice one Tim. That line on the decal is so hard to see ont he sheet. And once it is wet, good luck. At any rate, good piece of work.

Thanks for the comments folks. I did paint over the white lines on the decals after varnishing so they don't show. It was a shame about the paint but it doesn't look too bad.

Here are the glamour shots.
