Nice choice. I too like that one, simple and easy and goes together well.

Yes, that looks like a promising victim David, nice and simple looking. At my current rate of building it would take me about 6 weeks :ha:

Should be a good kit for a Blitz.

so they say Tim, must say I do agree with them. But my main worry ATM is the Hurricane as I will shortly be building Hurricanes on two different forums- I'll be seeing them in my sleep!

The kit is ready, the decals have been picked from the transfer pile, the extra parts have been dug out of the spares jars and I am ready to go for the morning of the 15th February, 10.00 AM.

The wings have been cleaned up and joined together, I always remove the snap-tite fittings as I think they just get in the way of the build. The inside fuselage around the cockpit has been thinned down and in the inset close up the kit cockpit floor mounting brackets and cockpit door can be seen to have been cut away.

The cockpit has been detailed as follows- the seat pan has been hollowed out to more correctly resemble the bucket seat of the original and a back cushion has been added from plastic card, the seat has been mounted on a short piece of plastic tube which is fitted over the round lump under the cockpit on the wing lower half and the control column has been made from twisted wire glued into the stand slot blanking panel. The sides of the cockpit have also been painted in the base colour (not yet shown) ready to be detailed when the paint has dried.
