Thanks TCS, Ron.
The airframe has been thinly primed in grey to kill the blue plastic, the Sky underside will be applied next.

Thanks Jeff, on the home stretch now, the sky undersides have had two coats of Humbrol 90 acrylic and the modified spares box propeller and spinner are nearly done.

This is coming along great, David. Will you sit up all night, or continue in the morning?

Great work David and, yes, don't nod off in the chair, you should be on for a finish here.

Everyone, LOL. Sissel, I'm going to carry on to the finish, the underside is painted Sky and I am now masking up for the Dark Earth upper base colour, will be painting that on by 22.30 and as all the paint is acrylic this won't take long to dry.

Looking good. If you're using acrylics you should be OK for time.

The basic colour scheme is now finished, the varnish has been applied and it is now drying. While I wait for this to happen and I can apply the decals I will have a brew and a snack.

It's looking good.

I do like the green brown sky on the early Spitfires.

It looks like you are on short finals with this one.

The decals are now all in place, the matt varnish has been applied and is dry and the front and rear portions of the canopy have been glued down. As the work became more detailed towards the end the build slowed down and the need for coffee increased. Currently the modified propeller is being painted as are the wheels. It is starting to feel like a very long day and thankfully the model is very close to completion.
