Normal service can now be resumed. To catch up on proceedings, the tracks have been melted together, primed in enamel and coloured in an earth shade acrylic. the four quite small 4 wh. bogies, (10 parts to each) were eventually pieced together. The gaps in the upper hull were filled with plastic card and things are now moving again.

The bogies have been fitted and the hull has been levelled on them, I am currently adding the various small separate detail parts (and repairing the fragile bogie assemblies as I break them and I dread fitting the tracks later) should soon be ready to paint the hull and build up the turret.
I am sorry to say that this nasty little kit is sorely trying my patience.

Hang in there David. Once the paint is on you'll look at it differently.

It's coming along well. As the others have said, once you've got a coat of paint on it you might feel differently about it.

Even before the fit problems were apparent, the sprue shot alone scared me! I'm sure you'll turn this around - looking forward to the end result.

Had a break, watched NCIS, calmed down and now the model is ready for paint, the tracks are actually too long so they won't cause a problem for the suspension units although I am out of cyano so shortening and glueing the tracks down will have to wait. It is now twelve & a half hours since I began so even with the problems it isn't doing so bad, is it?

Hi Alan, yes that seems to be the easiest invisible way of shortening them.
