I am not 100% sure if that would work. The cockpit sits on a ridge on each side of the fuselage, once the fuselage is together it might be a bit tricky to push the cockpit over the ridges. I guess you could remove the ridges, that might be the way to do it. Here is a photo from the instructions, hopefully it shows what I mean, the ridge is where the three arrows are pointing from the cockpit to the fuselage.

Most of the kit is now painted and gloss varnished ready for the decals tomorrow morning. If I have time might make some changes to the colours, as not totally happy with it as it is.

Finished! I think it is good to have a good nights sleep and then do the decaling in the morning.
A nice model. I have another in the stash which I will do as a captured butcherbird.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by and commented.

I have a couple of Revell 190's which look nice (not too keen on the engine cooler fins moulding), but saw the Airfix Model World review of this version and it looks even better. Looks like it's gone together really well, and the prop tip nicely decaled, I'd probably mess that up.

Looks great D-Man, well done. :)

I agree, it is very nice to be done with paintwork, get a night's sleep and do the decals in the morning.
