So we now have landing gear. Five pieces to each assembly. Looks busy enough. Work also continues on seam lines and such. Got the gun mounted now so there are lots ofparts just waiting to get broke off. :ha:

Did some more research on my intended victim. Bf110C 3U+AA. Flown by several pilots but credited to Oberst Huth Kommodore of ZG26 "Horst Weisel". Have not found the picture yet but there is one in Luftwaffe im Focus on the ground, gear up. So apparently homework was done. Never had a reason to doubt ExtraDecal but it is just plain fun to search around for the real deal. The process is fun researching a model as long as you don't go overboard.

which I do. Every time.

The Bf110 is coming together well. That u/c looks fiddly.

Coming along nicely Jeff. This kit is an obvious improvement over the old stager, in your close ups the surface detail is nicely done, perhaps a little deep on the panel lines but overall very nice. The cockpit isn't as well appointed as the Eduard kit though but no doubt the latter is the more expensive kit.

My undercarriage has already lost two of the long spars. Nice job on your one.

@blohm. My long spars snapped in two just getting them in. Fire calls last night so no bench time but started masking the greenhouse.

Breaking parts is almost getting essential. On my last two blitz builds I kept breaking the sticky out bits, superglued them 2-3 times.

Looking good.
Undercarriage fives pieces?

This is coming along nicely Jeff, I'm glad I have a still have a couple of these in the stash to build in the future as I think that it is a great kit, heavy on the panel lines yes.. but overall a lovely kit to build.

I try to add the landing gear last if possible, otherwise I end up breaking stuff off do to meathook-itis.

I hear you,Chris. I normally do the same but decided to follow the directions this time.

I now have the panel lines sprayed black for a little pre-shading which is something else I usually don't do.

Still a very nice kit and making up pretty well all and all.

I have a coat of RLM 65 on the lowers now. After a bit of pre-shading. Color choice this time comes from the ModelMaster enamel line which means some extra drying time. Out of Poly Scale 65 now. :frown:

Also used sponges for masking material this time which I am taking a liking to.

That's very effective pre-shading. Looks smooth and nice. :)

Really great bit of pre-shading Jeff, that is very effective and avoids looking overdone.
