Nice smooth work, I've had mine out of the pile twice this week after watching you. Moved it up the pile.

ARRG! ARRRG!!! And more ARRRRGHHH!!
Firstly, I have had hardly any time to actually work on the Bf-110. The most I got was a covering of green. Even then, I managed to get not ONE, but TWO great big splats on the surface. Which needed to be wiped off. Even then, I tried spraying over it, but it left a very patchy mark. (screams internally)
I might be able to take some pictures tomorrow, but I've just really lost my mojo for the moment.

BW,
I think we can all sympathise as we've all been there at one time or the other. The only cure is to step away from the bench for a night (or two) then go back (preferably not when tired) and make an objective view of what needs to be done.
If it's fixable - well and good; if it's not - sigh heavily and crack open another box.
I find that the former is usually the case.
And BTW, I'm not happy with the cowlings on my Ki-45 at the moment!
regards,
Martin

Thanks Martin, I don't think another box is ready to be opened yet, saving my tiny stash for whatever good GB calls.

That's a shame, BW. Take a little break, it always helps. There's still plenty left of February. Then come back with a fresh view and I'm sure it will come out good in the end.

That is a shame BW....it happens but don't let it get you down.
I got to the rigging stage on this Matchbox Helldiver.
Everything was going great until I dropped it and it broke apart( it couldn't take the G-forces)
I thought about repairing it but my heart wasn't in it so I binned it and just got on with something else as I found that for me it was best thing to do.
Hope you can get yours back on track soon.
Regards
Mark

Try to avoid binning it if you can Blohm, take a break from it and hopefully you will feel able to re-paint and carry on. I've still got my Airfix new tool Spitfire Mk I which suffered a terminal crazing of the final varnish coat almost at the end of the build when the decals were on, roughly this time last year. I came very very close to binning it but I was persuaded not to by other members on here. I'm now glad I followed their advice as after all it is a very nice little kit and I have resolved to source fresh decals and re-paint it at some point during the year.

Bad luck BH, but don't get disheartened, you are not the first and certainly won't be the last that is faced with the fix it/ bin it dilemma (I speak from experience).
To quote a favourite film of mine:
Bruce Wayne: I wanted to save Gotham. I've failed.
Alfred: Why do we fall, sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.
Bruce: You still haven't given up on me?
Alfred: Never
Personally I would put it to one side for a couple of days then "Pick it up" and have another go.

Thanks everyone for all the support. Including the batman quote.
I will definitely try to get things right today. After all, my mojo and my camera has recharged.

Tough break BW. Time to kick in the "Rescue Mode" but first take a break. But not to long, OK?

I would have finished the Lighting days ago, but for a rotten canopy!
Just work around the problems, and all will be fine.

No pics yet, but I took the plunge...
And re-started on it. I've got the top camo set up, but the two paints I used were very similar in colour. Too similar in fact. I don't want to change it now. I will give the underside some touch ups and the tail, then give it some decals and call it finished.
More tomorrow.
