I was preshading today, then the airbrush randomly clogged up. So I've had to take it apart too see what the problem is. So work has halted.

Hope the airbrush is uncloggable. You've got a 110 to finish by the weekend!

I've cleaned it out thoroughly, and even taken out some other little dried up paint flicks which have I've not seen before.

I'm really hoping I can finish it up. But why did my airbrush have to clog up when I was getting so far?

These things know you need them and so they fail at the critical moment, one of lifes rules.

I have changed the way I clean my Airbrush, I used to spray through cleaner then take out the needle through the rear clean it and then put it back, what I did not realise was the paint was being squeezed of the needle by the rear seals and leaving paint to build up in the body until I like you had a real mess of dried paint to clean requiring a full strip down.

I now run cleaner through it, then remove the tip and take out the needle through the front, I clean the needle as its always covered in paint and then replace the tip and fit the needle through the rear. Since changing to this method I have not had a clogged airbrush.

Oddly enough all three of my airbrushes are playing up so I'll use your method and report back.

Good tip. I will try that as I seem to spend more time fixing my airbrush than using it.

The 110 is looking like a blitzable kit Toby. Keep up the good work.

Airbrush problems are a pain, that is why I only go acrylic these days, just run water and then the brush spraying water and I'm clean.

Airbrush is all better now, so I started again with the preshading, it was slightly patchy, but I really liked it.

Then some light passes with some Tamiya light blue with some small amounts of gloss and white added, I'm quite impressed with the results. If It wasn't for the drip which fell from my airbrush which is visible in the second photo, and some patchy bits.

Tomorrow I'll clean it up a bit, then work on the green. It's still a great kit!

Great job on the pre-shading.

It is a lovely kit isn't it.

Nicely done BW. Shame about the errant drip from the airbrush and hopefully you'll be able to sort it.
