Thanks Shaun, and I'm sure a complete waste of time, I'm thinking, you won't be able to notice it when the prop plurs are on, the discs tend to obscure any front details. Ahh professional time waster me

I am in awe of your detailed workmanship but even more in awe of your patience - 2 hours to mask that canopy would drive me nuts!

How do you plan doing the blurred props, please? I am doing my Mosquito 'in-flight' and haven't decided yet.

Thanks David, here's how I do my prop blurs http://fillnsand.blogspot.co.nz/2011/06 ... discs.html, basically a mask, and careful airbrushing.

James Perrin prints his http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=1122 and "Rato" Marczak uses this method http://www.ratomodeling.com/articles/turning_props/, of course plain old disks work well as well, without a blur, I think it depends on the subject a lot of the times, and how you are feelign on the day..

Third round of spot filling on the gun pod, I'm going off of white milliput, it seems to go off in the packet too quickly, I've got to find a better putty.


Scratched up a gun barrel..

an undercarriage leg from some Lindberg kit, and a bit of mesh wrapped around the tip, hopefully it will look the part.

Stuck the tailplane on and as I was checkign square, I thought there is something wrong with the look...

Yep she's a puppy, wagging its tail, a nice bend in the fuselage, so a nice warm bath for it, and it's slightly better.

Well, only little snatches of sanding and filling done over the last few days. Got the engine nacelles on and had some big mismatches, that I moved to the under side, also added a vane detail to the wing intake, and a filed out the landing light.

Added a silver of sprue as a light.


Been filling a big mismatch on the tailplane, I'll clean out the panel lines, and see what it looks like. Also have a couple more patches of filler around the wing fuselage leading edge join, hopefully another round and then I can pop the crew in and get the canopy and fins on.

Woohoo! what a productive evening, got the fins on, the crew in, scratched a gun sight from sprue, canopy on, and gun pod scribed and on too.

Made a little oval piece for the front of the pod, as well, a smidge of filler around the edges to blend it into the bottom of the fuselage and I'm happy.

Though not so happy knocked two masks off the canopy clamping the gun pod on, ah well an easy fix.

Might squirt some interior colour on the canopy tomorrow and then get some primer on.

Shaping up nicely.
It's amazing how much work you can do in a productive evening. Sometimes it seems you wont get anywhere for hours, but then one day you get so much done.

Thanks folks, not so productive during the week, got a coat of primer on this afternoon, and have a couple of fixes, and a bit if filling and describing on the gun pod to do.

I tried to get a nice thin coat of primer on, and for the first time I wiped the model over with an alcohol dampened rag, worked quite well and I haven't spotted any greebles lurking yet.
