Nice (to me) fabric detail

Yay! crew figures

Lots of kit decal options..

But I'll be using these OWL decals

for a C-6 with NJG1.

Need to scratch build a 30mm cannon pod, and OWL provide this diagram to help.

Might find something in the spares to make a gun pod.

All the best

The plastic, from the photos looks quite good. I like the subtle shine on the drop tanks and other things.

More Me-110s!

I have that kit in 1/48. Very good kit just a sparse cockpit.

This should be good.

Well we are off, for a change I started in the cockpit..
Jeff is right sparse is the word, so a little gizmology is in progress.
Image
A couple of plasticard blanks to hide the wing root, a new bulkhead with gizmo boxes, and a few gubbins as cannon do hickeys. Also raised the pilots seat so he can see over the dashboard.

Image
Filled the nose cannon holes with superglue and tidied up the pilots, they are a bit small, but I am resisting the urge to replaced them. The only others I've really got are even smaller Revell Luftwaffe aircrew set guys.

Cemented the canopy together, and the pilots hood is slightly wider than the rear of the greenhouse, not sure if I'll sand it or not worry, leaning towards the not worry at this point.. ;-)

Well, I mean we both posted our posts about our Bf-110s in really close time lapse.

That's quite a gun pod under this one Jim. Anything in the spares box? A 1/144 Gannet fuselage perhaps? :-D

I have a couple of Airfix 1/48 Seafire drop-tanks. They look just the shape, but may need a little bit of tweaking to fit.

I had a quick look last night, and didn't find anything, its quite a deep skinny shape.
The decal plans for the pod are quite good, just missing the cross section. I downloaded the Eduard instructions for their C-6, they give you a good idea of the shape, so I might just make some plastic frame work and fill it in with milliput.

Got to finish the gizmology today, a few strips of plasticard and punch disks, with other odd off cuts
Image
a quick squirt a coat of primer, and it'll do.

Also opened up the barrels of the machine guns, and had a little ejector pin hole to fill in the side of the rear machine.
Image
Also a bit of primer on the nose, where the cannon troughs have been filled, looks ok.

Was hoping to get some paint on the crew and interior, but was we had to head out and help the eldest with his car, the water pump had packed up.

See if I can spring up at early o'clock tomorrow, to get some paint done.

Cheers

I really like what you've done with the cockpit, Jim. Keep up the good work.

Might just be that. Or maybe we have a lot of the day to build models in. Either way.
