Sissels Nightly Horse Twins ** Finished **
Allthough the box art scheme is cool enough, I'm gonna do this in the night fighter scheme. It's why I bought the kit.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
I've got this kit as well and would like to build both schemes? I also like the night fighter but when I got this kit Andrew had just built it so I wanted to do the day fighter just to be different

You could do one fuselage night fighter and the other day fighter... or the black just petering out like the painter got interrupted halfway throughDirkpitt289 wrote:I've got this kit as well and would like to build both schemes? Hope you enjoy the build; I certainly enjoyed building mine during the Boom-Boom GB a couple of years ago. It's a nice honest kit, with good fit.

Martin

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
Great choice, I so want one of these just so it stands out differently. Nice artwork too.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
It is a great kit to build Sissel, I have already built an old boxing of this in an all silver finish but the new colour schemes look really good and I plan to add two examples of this new boxing to the stash this year. Will look forward to watching this build.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
Cheers guys.
I've made a quick start on this.
Here's the sprue shot before I started.
There's not much to see yet. I've done sprue painting and started painting the pilots and small bits of interior, part of wheels. So I wont bore you with boring pictures.

The F-82 is a very different looking aircraft and is a type I've never built. Great choice for this GB.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
It is a nice flying machine.
I've painted the machine guns. Gun metal mix with wash, then gone over roughly with a dark wash. I'm pleased with result. Think I might leave the wing door open for this.
Pilots are done painted, progressing slowly.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
Got the fuselages together. Wish the cockpit floor was a bit wider for easier fit in the middle.
Almost perfect fit allover. Needed elastic bands and clothing pegs as shown, just to push it together. Then scraped off where glue was pushed up, sanding, and it's smooth.
Wings together. This is going very well. Also great fit here. Gone really smooth so far.

Smooth work Sissel, and good job with the middle machine guns.
