Titan's Wooden Wonder ***Finished***

I was going to build this originally a couple of years ago for the Mosquito GB but life got in the way and so I had to pospone it.
Forward a couple of years and out it comes again untouched but this time for a finish.
First the brief opening shots as I would imagine everyman and his dog has seen close up sprue shots of this kit so I will spare you that at least.




I will not be using the kit decals( not that there is anything wrong with them) but instead I will be using a sheet from Eagle Strike.


Some nice option on the sheet.


But like two years ago I am going to paint it as this one... as I have not seen many like it in this camo.

My dog Monty hasn't seen the sprue shots, but never mind. I like that choice from the decal sheet.

I did make a start dressing up the cockpit area yesterday as it was very sparse, I only used the floor and half of the pilot's seat the rest is made up from card and sprue and although not accurate it is better than what was supplied by the kit.
The pilots armored seat at the back was too small and so was cut off and a larger card replacement made.
The navigators seat was not used and was completely remade also with card.
 

The basic pit fits nicely into the fuselage and with the rear bulkhead attached is completely sealed.


With the canopy(still yet to get a coat of Klear) attached you can now see the armored seat.

Thanks Sissel and Andrew for looking in and Andrew if I knew Monty had not seen any sprue shots of this kit I would of course have taken some, so I can only apologise to him for not doing so.
Back to real time and I have added a couple of bits to the cockpit that will need a little refining but once painted should make the cockpit busy enough to be passable once the canopy is on for good.




The shelf radio is an ammo box from a 1/35 kit but will need to be cut down a tad and if I get time later I will add a few bits and bobs to the walls of the fuselage.

Thanks all and thanks for the info on the undercarriage David I shall be ready for it.
No photos needed for this next update because all I have done was to add a few little bits to the fuselage wall and then sprayed the relevant bits with H78 cockpit green.
And while the airbrush was out I gave the IP a coat of matt black.
Seat cushion and belts next I think and then pick out some of the detail with black and then drybrush silver on them.
