That's looking good, Chris.
I remember building that one around 1970!!!! My only 1/48 kit when I was a teenager. My Dad brought it back from a trip to New York. Monogram was very exotic brand to a teenager in a small Scottish town.

Thanks Mark
The decals are applied, the wheels and drop tanks added and the guns painted
Canopy and wing light are all that is left to do.

Looks good Chris. I actually met Marge once (The lady, not the plane). She was the featured speaker at my IPMS chapter and we had a nice little chat. She was a lovely lady.

Beautiful bare metal finish sir.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

After 3 hours of trying, I gave up on trying to make the canopy fit. The old mould was designed to really be open and fit like crap.
Luckily squadron products makes a vac for this so I ordered it, the job is on hold till it comes.

No pics, but I painted the canopy and attached it.
Flu continues, and now my eyes are so bad I have to go to the eye doctor today as I can't focus past 2 feet right now.
