Basic paint is done. Al-clad on the metal and Modelmaster non-buffing aluminum on the canvas covered areas to give a nice two tone effect. On to adding the small parts and touch-up

SB2U-1 Vindicator, BuNo 0757, VB-2, USS Lexington 1939. The aircraft was flown by Lt. Cdr. H.D. Felt who later led Air Group 3 from the USS Saratoga in an attack that sank the Japanese carrier Ruyjo during the Battle of the Eastern Solomans.

Nice one Chuck, I love those colours. Is that just a piece of old sprue underneath the model or has one of its chocks gone walkabout?

those colors sure look great together. Did you have any problems fitting the bomb trapeze?

I did have to go back to my photo references to make sure bomb and gear was in the right place. Other than that, no problem.

Thanks. I would recommend building the BT-1 as 5-B-7 with the Insignia Red tail (USS Yorktown) and True Blue nose. In any case, finish the build and have a nice addition to the shelf.
