I'm counted this as finished. It still needs varnish and a couple of lines rigging.

Great kit and a thoroughly enjoyable build. Not the prettiest aircraft, but it looks nice when built up.

Cheers

Andrew

Another good build. I always found the old Matchbox biplanes to be easy to build and have good subjects. Some of my first bi-planes as a child were Matchbox kits.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

It has turned out very nicely indeed! I quite fancy having a bash at one of these myself.

It's hard to beat Matchbox biplanes for buildability.

Don't pay silly prices, there are some bargains around still, although the average price of Matchbox kits seems to be rising quite steeply at the moment.

A tidy job Andrew. Siskins have never been one of my favourite planes but your effort makes it look pretty darn good. Nice one.

Another entertaining build and thread, and a great finish (so far). :ha:

I used one on mine as I use the same technique as you described for the rigging.

I was a cheapskate and used a piece of bent wire!
Or several pieces, as I kept dropping them :-D
