Another good build. I always found the old Matchbox biplanes to be easy to build and have good subjects. Some of my first bi-planes as a child were Matchbox kits.

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

It has turned out very nicely indeed! I quite fancy having a bash at one of these myself.

It's hard to beat Matchbox biplanes for buildability.

Don't pay silly prices, there are some bargains around still, although the average price of Matchbox kits seems to be rising quite steeply at the moment.TobyC wrote:Great build. Think I'll head off to ebay to find one

A tidy job Andrew. Siskins have never been one of my favourite planes but your effort makes it look pretty darn good. Nice one.

Another entertaining build and thread, and a great finish (so far).
I used one on mine as I use the same technique as you described for the rigging.
These needle threaders are good for pulling thread through extremely small holes:AndrewR wrote: I'm experimenting with how small I can make the lower wing holes and still thread the line easily.

I was a cheapskate and used a piece of bent wire!Molly-new wrote:Another entertaining build and thread, and a great finish (so far).

Or several pieces, as I kept dropping them
