Just a few pics to show state of play. Decals that have gone on look okay in the photo but still have a yellowy brown tint to them, decal on top is okay, it's from a much newer Hasegawa kit!!. Course it was meant for their kit so split a little over bump and aerial but have painted it to complete it.

Have received email saying decals have been dispatched so hopefully next week I can get them on.

Hi, forgot pictures but will try and add later today. Happily, in other news, the replacement decals have arrived. Look very nice so these should be going on today or tomorrow.

Hi, decals underway, once they're done it's just the wings to go on, ad the arrestor hook and fix a tiny bit onto the nose leg (it's the catapult attachment bit I think).

Hi, I am calling this one finished. Might have to take a small file to the wing roots to tidy up a little but looks good to me and I don't want to risk anymore decals with heavy sanding!!.

Overall pleased with the kit considering it's over thirty years old. Fits good all round apart from the nose wheel bay. This attaches to the underside of the cockpit 'tub' and on mine didn't quite sit against the underneath of the fuselage. However this wasn't a big problem and everything else fitted well, wings especially only needed a little filler to get rid of the the join line, which wasn't big anyway.

Thanks Splash!. It does go together well actually, could do with more detail on the upper wings and nose area but otherwise it's good. Really enjoyed it actually, will have to fish out my Corsair II...
