Does anyone have a good way of making the Airfix Mk.1 canopy fit properly? It fits awfully on my kit.

No, the canopy itself is fine, but it appears to be lifted slightly up at the front.

I wanted to ask on here as one of the main solutions would be cutting out the whole of the gunsight to let it fit.

Could the gunsight be gently pushed down slightly to clear the canopy?
