Here are some of my elliptical dust collectors. All 1/72.
Airfix new tool IXc.
Heller V.
Airfix old tool Mk.I as BBMF Mk.II circa 1980s.
Do Seafires count? Well, it's built from Spit kits. Italeri IX with Testors F.22 nose.

Re: Previously-built Models
Interesting. I don't seem to have too many, in fact, not any built. Have done a few over the years including the old Aurora kit that hung from my ceiling as a child, but nothing has survived the moves.
Guess I can show my daughter's first model which was the old Hawk Mk 22.

This was done many years ago now. She is 16 and with acting, working, school and a boy friend (shudder) she hasn't built for a while.

Re: Previously-built Models
Philp - you've just answered a question I've been wanting to ask!
I got a whole pile of 1/72 Spitfire stuff the other day, and in amongst it was what looked like a Spitfire F.22. No idea what kit it is, but it looks a LOT like your daughter's one.

Re: Previously-built Models
Thought the same thing when I saw your pics. basic kit, solid wings and stabs, props part of the spinner, no interior and no landing gear. All in all a great first kit for a youngster, even if it is a SpitfireDazDaMan wrote:Philp - you've just answered a question I've been wanting to ask!
