Previously-built Models

Post by JohnRatzenberger »

Here post 1-2 images of previous builds of 'Supermarine Sptifire'' models. You do not have to be a member of this GB to do so.

If your model has a build thread on UAMF (old or new), then please include the link.

Interesting. I don't seem to have too many, in fact, not any built. Have done a few over the years including the old Aurora kit that hung from my ceiling as a child, but nothing has survived the moves.

Guess I can show my daughter's first model which was the old Hawk Mk 22.

This was done many years ago now. She is 16 and with acting, working, school and a boy friend (shudder) she hasn't built for a while.

Philp - you've just answered a question I've been wanting to ask!

I got a whole pile of 1/72 Spitfire stuff the other day, and in amongst it was what looked like a Spitfire F.22. No idea what kit it is, but it looks a LOT like your daughter's one.

Thought the same thing when I saw your pics. basic kit, solid wings and stabs, props part of the spinner, no interior and no landing gear. All in all a great first kit for a youngster, even if it is a Spitfire :-D
