Gallery of Completions

Post by JohnRatzenberger »

Here post 1-2 images of your completed model(s).

Please do not discuss the construction of the model, or make comments on other models -- that should all be done in the respective build thread.

Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk I 92 Sqd, Flown by Lt RRS Tuck over Dunkirk.

Tuck scored the first two victories over Dunkirk in first combat action flying to protect the evacuation. In short order Tuck would be an ace, and by the time he was shot down over France on January 28th 1942 he was one of the leading British aces with over 29 confirmed kills. Tuck would become part of the Great Escape Opeperation, but did not get out during the big escape. He later did escape to first Poland then Russia and made his way home from the Russian port of Odessa.
