Re: Finding Fishbed
OK so here we go. Not had the best track record finishing builds but I am a player. This Academy kit has been re-popped in various guises since 1998 or 9. But the reviews all speak well of it.
Boxart:
The innards: Busy sprues but when you look it over, nothing out of the ordinary.
Special Do-Dads: I normally do not bother but the cockpit needs some improvements in 1/48th scale.
So last night I dabbled with the resin bits. How can something that smells so good be so Baaaaaaddddddd? I also started trimming the cockpit area of the kit to prepare for the resin insert.
I am leaning towards the Egyptian AF two tone scheme with the grey striping separating the colors. I have a SuperScale decal sheet with that option on it.

Re: Finding Fishbed
Go for it Jeff. We can have the beginnings of an Egyptian squadron between us
That's actually not a bad looking kit, especially with the resin cockpit thrown in.

Re: Finding Fishbed
Nice one. With the additional resin bits that should build up into a great replica.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Are you having any joy with this, Jeff?

This one I am afraid is a bust. Nothing done since last report. Been called away to much to play. Sorry guys. Duty called and blocked any attempt to finish other than a few parts put together. I will continue when I can on the Aviation topic.

I hear you Jeff. Life's thrown me so many curveballs in the last 12 months, I feel I like a professional baseball player
Looking forward to seeing some more of your builds when you get some time.
