Academy lied about having a detailed cockpit. A single seat and floor, no dials, no dash board, no display, nothing.

...their Mirage III cockpit is a joke...

I nearly bought it last year. After reading the reviews and listening to people here, maybe a set of new watercolour paintbrushes was really worth it.

As a fellow Transformer to model fan I don't like to be critical, however if you use the Academy F-15, I think the 1/100 scale, the wingtips and the airbrake are early/prototype shape. The wingtips need slanting inwards and back for a standard F-15.
However, watching with interest.

You do have a very good point. I may need to actually correct that entirely, because after doing some more research on TFW, the masterpiece Seekers have become extremely important in getting the best possible shape and make of the model at hand.

It matches the dimensions of the kit extremely well. Even the panel lines appear to be the same width as well as the same mysterious sink marks. Hmmm....

It appears to the F-15C. So I can imagine I have a lot more scratchbuilding then I hoped for.

Now I just need to get some Null rays while I shape with balsa and foam the correct length and size of the parts willing.....

We both got as close as doing up the masking today, but the rest of the day was devoted to shopping for boring and non-modelling materials, so I kind of failed this GB entry.
