MarkyM607's Voyage(r) VOYAGE FINISHED!!!
MarkyM607's Voyage(r) VOYAGE FINISHED!!!
After several years sat in the stash I decided to finally get around to making the Revell USS Voyager. It's quite big but not over the top in parts (I think!). Will try and get pics done later.

You'll enjoy this one, it goes together easily. But painting all the details may send you potty.
The stand that is supplied can snap off in the lightest breeze as happened to mine. I made the ship style stand in about half an hour, after mine did snap. My advice would be to seriously consider doing the same.

I wish, that I knew what was doing!

Okay!, feeling the pressure now!!!. Nice finish, just looking at the instructions with all the details and decals has already sent me woozy. Is it too late to do my half built Angel Interceptor!?
Understand about the stand (no pun intended). I have the Diamond Select (I think) NCC-1701 and that has a stand that I wouldn't put something half the weight on. Although it does actually work. Mostly.

Can I suggest another solution to the stand problem:general rocket wrote:You'll enjoy this one, it goes together easily. But painting all the details may send you potty.

In the episode "The 37s" Voyager enters a planets' atmosphere and lands- on its undercarriage!

Great idea, thought about it myself. Sadly not in the kit as far as I can see, and don't think I have time to build one in the GB time frame. P.S. I have finally started, glued on the windows and bits to the upper primary hull. Feel like I'm trying to hold back from rushing, seems I want to leave as much time for details and decals!!. As you may have noticed no pics yet, I'm very bad at this on this build. I have taken a few, will try and put them up tonight.

As promised here are some pics. Not much to look at yet but showing her size already. If the kit measurement (51.4cm), and a real size one (1130ft) are correct then the model is 1/670 scale (ish).
That's an Airfix 1/72 Spitfire next to it for some idea of scale/size!.

And your next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to drill out all of those windows and install computer controlled lighting
Or not
It does look impressive, quite a chunk of plastic there!

In my case, not.
