Some good work going on, and the white seems to be covering the red well enough.

Trying to get done in time.

Despite lots of dry fitting and the superb engineering of the kit, somehow there ended up being a bad fit problem leading to a 1mm seam gap. I've bodged it up, but it doesn't look great. Luckily it's on the underside.

Done!

I was kind of chuffed when one of my kids' friends looked at it this afternoon, then later asked my wife "but how does he get the metal on it?". Apparently I'm doing something right with my metal effect on the wings

Superb finish, still don't like it though!!! :ha: :ha: However excellent finish, a nice egg whi--model to be sure.
(Meaning no disrespect VV, my white finishes look like I used the dog's tail to paint with!!)
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Sounds a bit like my opinion of the F-35: no matter who builds them (Lockheed-Martin included), they're always ugly buggers. Only outragious kitbashing and whiffing will fix that particular problem.

The Vanship's a beauty though.

That is a thing of beauty! I have no idea where it stems from, but it looks really good
Best wishes

Very, cool. It looks really great in white, something like a pre-war merc.

Looks great and now I may have to get another one and modify the vanes to a better looking mixer style.

Hmm, but what markings? Sunbeam, KitchenAid...
