Am I right in saying that the canopy masking can be a bit of a challenge on this?
Hope you're up and running soonest.

After a couple of hick ups I am on the way

Third Photo. The Instructions.

As can be seen I am about to try my first Photo Etch. Wish me luck
Also I purchased a set resin guns. These were fitted to later models of the 189 but some were also fitted to earlier ones as resistance stiffened from the Soviet forces.

I'm not sure of which colour scheme I will be using but it will contain a lot of white

I have used the incorrect image but the 1944 image is almost the same

In theory I will start with the flight deck, it’s more than a cockpit. However as there is much to do here I will chop and chance as required.
First up I need to cut bits off here and there and reposition the pilots’ seat which also needs a bit of work. The Navigators’ position also needs a bit of work and the camera needs fitting/adapting.

The first AARRGH! moment! The center frame of the front glazing broke off as I was sawing the lower bits off to attach the brass frames

I like the camo scheme. There seem to be a few white FWs in this GB.

Update.

I have a second AAAAAAgh! moment when I lost one of my resin machine guns and lost a folded brass seat. Found the gun but still can't find where I put it, the seat, in a safe place.

Dai

PS. Found the seat :bounce:

We progress. Crew painted and in, camera made and in and rudder pedals (brass etch) and attached to pilots' feet.
Photos tomorrow.

I will finish it. It may be a week or two as I'm in hospital at the moment getting my back attended to.

All is going well.
