Good luck with it.

I'm still unsure of the error as I don't have the kit available to look at. The doors are forward, implying the fuselage section is correctly mounted. As the wing appears to just fit on top, you should be able to remove it, gently, depending on how much glue was used. ?

Good luck.

Having got the wings on mine, I can see how easy it would be to do this!
As for getting it off again, I wish you luck
Best wishes

It seems the doors and windows are also out of place with the fuselage the wrong way around. Each door should be about 1 1/2 cm back from where it is, which they would be had I got the centre section the right way around!.
I was able to remove the wing very easily as it turned out(!!), and repositioned it okay. The problem is that because the centre section is reversed, the wing in it's correct postion blocks the rear right door!! :frown: .
However, all is not as lost as I first thought. I am going to cover the doors and rescribe them or decal them where they should be, hopefully no one will notice the windows are also out of position!. It will be something of a glue and hope as everything has been glued and removed once already.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Okay. The Horsa kit fuselage come in three sections, cockpit/front, centre section and tail. If you glue the centre section the correct way around the slot that takes a small tab on the underside of the wing is about 5.5cm from the back of said centre section and the wing goes on leaving a nose length that is about twice what I showed in the pic. If you don't it looks like the pic. Clear?, No?, well tough :ha: :ha: that's as clear as I can make it!!!!!!. :ha: :ha:
Also(!!), the front left entry door should be 1.5cm from the front edge of the centre section, and the rear left should be the same from the rear edge. Now that I've put the wing where it should be the rear door is blocked.
Ta-da, the campaign for clear English would be proud!!!.

So, after all that excellent work, it's liable to break up on landing in some foreign field

Finish line crossed iggie!!. The varnish has made the areas around the decals looks well rough but as these things were well used I'm classing it as wear and tear!!! :ha: . The kit does supply a two part clear support for under the tail to stop her tail sitting so for now she will sit on the display shelf. Once I've moved the Stirling to clear ceiling space I'll attach the two with a suitable tow line.

Phew!. Haven't really enjoyed this kit, what with my errors and the lack of part numbers on the sprues. The markings did fire up the interest though!.
The aerials aren't actually painted in these pics but she is finished. Honest.

Nice save on the wing, and a very handsome final product.
