There was a model kit in there?

Exactly what I expected.
A short run with a lot flash and pieces that doesn't fit together.



My kind of model!



My team for modeling:
At Right, from Japan, Mister Ki tdo'ntfit san.
At Left, From planet Flash, Jo Hungryputty. "Sandpaper" for friend.
At Center, my favourite Buddha and spiritual guidance. This evening he repeated softly: "Keep calm, you're a modeller, nothing is impossible"

Do not ask me why, but it is with this kind of kits that I do mi best!

In the end, it's just an ordinary job of cleaning and filling.
Nothing drama, and the shape it's really good.
I prefer working on a kit that requires putty and small adjustments, but with the correct scale and shape, rather than a modern kit with, clean, detailed and accessorized parts, but does not look like the original!

I suspect however, having seen the quality of you other builds, this is going to turn out a stunner

This is an accurate kit, worthy of the careful job you're doing.

My feeling was that the bottom line of the nose, in profile, was a little too sleek and needed some building up to give it more of a chin. Otherwise it is right in almost every detail.

Certainly better than the Italeri which is best used as a source of more refined detail parts for this kit.

I still have something to sand, but it does not seem so bad. ..... I hope.

The wings.
We talked for a long time, walking in the park, while Rome was performing in one of his magnificent sunsets.
We talked about Life, Love, Death, Models and other nonsense.
In the end, they are convinced of the futility of the part of "the piece that does not fit".

A "dry" test for the wings/fuselage fit





After some sanding, putty and sanding, the model start to resemble a Mustang.





I hope to be able to start painting this weekend.
Despite appearances, for an experienced modeller, it's fun and gives a lot of satisfaction.
