Looks nice.

You did the camo job, hull numbers, wood grain, etc, all in Photoshop ? That's a skill I do not have, but I do like the idea of thinning/greying out the lines and such - I could handle that. Noted & filed away.

The alternative, John, would be to build it using the original parts, seal it (I use common sandable primer), and then add your own details and markings as you might with a plastic kit...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

I found a simple way of working in Photoshop that allows me to quickly change colours.

1. Scan or import the image.
2. Select all the white on the image then invert the selection so you only have the black lines selected.
3. Copy this to the top layer.
4. In the top layer select the white area that surrounds the model parts and fill it with white.
5. Add another layer under the top layer this will be the layer you add colour to.

The top area acts as a mask so any colour you add below it only shows up on the kit parts so you can add colour with out worrying about going over the lines.

I hope that makes sense?

No, but it's my fault, not yours. I have used Corel Draw for years and have managed, by great effort, to only learn some small single digit percent of the capability ....

Brilliant build Splash, the small landing craft have been ignored by kit manufacturers for too long and this is a very convenient way to create them, especially like the Photoshop work..
