I'm in with two Swiss '109s, an Emil and a Gustav.

The Airfix 109E is looking favourite. Just not sure what markings to use yet.

Not sure which Airfix boxing you have, Toby, but you can have the decals from mine if you want them - see my thread.

A change of plan. I've found a Croatian G-10 by Hobbyboss and bearing in mind there's 2 GBs I'm doing in July this easy build will make life well easier

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Welcome aboard gang, as some of you know, I will go for insanity and try to build 4 109s at the same time, all different marks and different scales and different manufacturers!
Keep in mind that the GB is for FUN, so don't worry about the time limit and finishing, do the best you can and make those pretty birds for all of to see!
Your commendant, Chris

Re: Sign-up and Chat
If things work out, I'll try a bit of a blitz on an Avia S-199 in Israeli markings, and if I can fit in more maybe a B, C, D, H, or T.
I must find and finish off my Z - not for this GB tho, its too far along.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I'm in this one with two, maybe three, builds:
1) Academy/Hobbycraft Hispano Ha.1112M1-L Buchon
2) Otaki Bf109G-6
The third might be the Matchbox version of the Otaki kit. We'll see...!

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I have a few in the pile, 2 new Airfix Emil's, an old Airfix Emil plus a Revell G-10 , Airfix G-6 and Matchbox Emil all in 72nd Also a 1/48 F. Not being proficient with mottle a couple of BoB versions could be on the cards.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I plan to do 3 builds during this GB, 2 of the Airfix "Aircraft of the Aces" kits, followed by a Hobby Boss Trop:
I am also in the Helicopter GB so will have to see how things go.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Up against my rather poor completion rate on Group Builds, I am joining up with the rather simplistic Revell/Monogram Bf109G-10. Probably due to Paul's walk around in the Aviation section.
I love this kit and have built several since it's 1979 release. All I need for motivation.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Last night I unstashed three candidates for this build. I expect to make at least two of them. I'll do the Heller 109B/C for sure. Probably also the Heller 109K (although I believe this is the early tooling that was really more of a 109G-14), which would be a good mate for the Fw 190D I just finished. If I have time, I'll do a blitzy kind of build of the Hasegawa 109E. Bertha will be in Spanish markings, Gustav in 1945 home-defense colors, and I'm undecided about Emil although I quite like the wasp markings that came with the kit. These will be done one at a time in sequence, and the target is about a week for each one.
