Shane's HH-53 Jolly Green.

No point waiting much longer, I was going to build this for Telford anyway.

I think it will have to be the box art scheme rather than the Israeli one. It's quite a big beast too.
This aircraft is now preserved at Maxwell AFB as an MH-53M Pave Low

That does indeed look a BEAST Shane! Looking forward to seeing it come together!

Cheers Stuart, not much point detailing the load area as nothing can be seen really. May just button the rear up, makes for easier masking and transportation. I'd like to get the German version to go along side it but can't afford the extension to keep them in.

I have had this beastie out of the box, basic priming to the innards and wheels etc. having test fitted the fuselage and internal floor and roof I've found it to be a very good fit. There are a few sink marks around locating pins but nothing hard to fettle. Looking at images it seems the USAF version have walkway markings around the upper fuselage. These would need masking and painting on ,dreaded curves e.t.c. I may change my mind and go for the Israeli desert scheme instead.

Work does continue on this, just nothing worthy of pictures as yet. Basically just building up subsections, mainly the flightdeck, intakes, fuel tanks and undercarriage bays. I will leave the main rotor until the end as its quite large and likely to get damaged before time for fitting. Struggling to find decent ref pics as they were all upgraded to Pave Low standard in a grey finish.

Here's an update on the Jolly Green. Some seam work to do, most of the construction is done. Nothing has been done in the load area and I've sealed it up.
Still unsure as which scheme to go for, I quite like the Israeli one.

Wow. You are speeding right along. Looking very good. Decal instrument panel looks the part.

Done a little work on the seams this week but haven't had much enthusiasm due to the muggy weather. I have a few days off this week and will get her primed up ready for more sanding probably.
