Cheers Stuart, did a little more today, I'm at the sand fill sand stage which I detest. fuel tanks are a real pet peeve of mine, always end up with visible seams. I've cot the canopy on now, so its almost ready for the primer.

Got the primer on and finally made the decision to go with the Israeli scheme. I used some old Humbrol Authentic because i don't have the colours in acrylic. Good job I live alone cos it don't half pong even through a mask. Bit of a learning curve as I've never sprayed anything this large in enamel before. I used cellulose to speed up the drying time.

I'm trying to find images of the rotor tips, all the ones so far show them left same as the blade i.e no yellow e.t.c

Painted up the rotors, will mask up for the camo later.
They are not glued on, just posed for effect.

Looking Good - What colour paint did you use for the IAF scheme? Was it humbrol 63?

That base colour looks nice and even! Your sanding has paid off handsomely
Best wishes

Hi Stuart, I used a tin of Humbrol Authentic IAF Middlestone - FS33531 which in modern humbrol is HU121
This is overlaid with IAF green - fs34227 - equiv HU120 and IAF earth - Fs30219 - HU118 which also comes up as Vietnam tan in the Xtracrylix range.

I made a start on the masking but obviously didn't finish within the timeframe. I will continue with it in my workbench thread.
