This might explain what I have done with the Rotor Head.
The image has shown up the work I need to do at the back of the canopy

Just looking at the engine pod in the pic above, that squarish patch looks like something was meant to be cut out there, Splash...is it where the engines vents are..?

No modeling today as I have been watching Yeovilton Airday from a friends garden, but as this is the Helicopter GB I thought you might like these photo I took today.

Nice shots and wonderful looking weather.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

The pictures look great Splash, very striking. The Mojave is looking very good, I like the scratch built rotor assembly. Brilliant build.

Cheers for the feed back. I have started to detail the blades by cutting a slot to fix a brass rod then covering it with a strengthening fillet.
Now the big question do I build it spread or folded?

As ever, your modelling is looking very good!
It's a shame the same cannot be said of the aesthetic appearance of the Mojave; that is a seriously ugly helicopter
I know the Apache is ugly too, but at least it has presence and a lot of menace about it. The Mojave just looks like it's eaten too much.....

If you're building an Army one, I would think spread as it would probably be unusual for them to be folded on a land-based Army helo...splash wrote: Now the big question do I build it spread or folded?
