Sign-up and Chat

A World War One GB - any subject, any scale, 1914-1918 - this is not a 1914-specific GB.
Runs 6 weeks, July 28th to September 8th, to allow plenty of time for biplanes, rigging, and holidays.
Your GBL is Chris, assisted by jRatz.

This is a historic GB of World War One - any subject, any kit, any scale, 1914-1918 - it is not specific to the 1st month of the war.

This GB started from this thread in GB Chat.

The GB runs 6 weeks, from July 28th to September 30th 8th; your GBL is Chris, assisted by jRatz, who will fill in any other info.

Ready to build, although I am (usually) a die hard 1/76 armour fan there are more kits available in 1/72 for WW1 AVFs so my builds for this GB will be the start of a stand alone set of 1/72 scale models.

Ready here also. The Monogram (Re-worked Aurora) SE5A in 1/48th scale. I may swap out the airscrew for the four bladed version out of the Aurora kit. Those abominable thick glossy decals may have to go.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

I'll be doing one aircraft and one AFV but apart from that I haven't a clue. AFV will be first.

As noted previously I'll be doing the Accurate Armour 1/35 resin Whippet Medium-A.

I have a number of smaller builds, 1/72 aircraft, that I might intersperse.

My stepfather is visiting from England for the first two weeks in August, so I may be a late starter. I haven't decided on the subject yet, but an Eastern Express Bleriot IX, a Pegasus Junkers D-1, or an Airfix Sopwith Pup are all possibilities

So, we have the 'Red Baron' - so who will build Roy Brown's Camel or a machine gun section ? Pick your argument :)

As to Voss's Triplane, let's get that color discussion going also :)
