Re: Andrew's Airfix Sopwith Pup
The bench time has been very short this week. I have got the top wing on the Pup.
The Airfix engineering makes it the easiest biplane to fit the top wing to. The jigs make it easy to line everything up too.
I'm going to try rigging this without drilling any holes. We will see what happens!
cheers
Andrew

Re: Andrew's Airfix Sopwith Pup
The first modelling for a week or so, due to exam marking.
A bit of filing the insides to get the two piece cowling to sit nicely. I may have to apply a bit of putty to the joins too.
Ready for a few decals or some rigging!

Huh - I always found Almark decals to be a bit too thick! Must have been a bad batch - I'd write and complain.......

Sopwith family reunion.
Pup in brown.
Snipe in silver grey and white primer
Camel in bronze green.
Just waiting for the white paint to dry on the Pup's rudder.

Re: Andrew's Airfix Sopwith Pup
Take a look from head-on, the pictures from 30 August suggest the tailplane may not be on level ?

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.
