Paul's Revell RAF Camel *FINISHED*

A World War One GB - any subject, any scale, 1914-1918 - this is not a 1914-specific GB.
Runs 6 weeks, July 28th to September 8th, to allow plenty of time for biplanes, rigging, and holidays.
Your GBL is Chris, assisted by jRatz.

Cheers, guys. :)

Got the struts on this morning, the top wing on this arvo and just started the rigging, so this is where we're at right now:

I always forget what a pain rigging is...... I use Aeroclub stretchy thread as the least worst of the methods I've tried...

Well, some unexpected bonus time at the bench yesterday see this one completed:

Some fiddly rigging around the tail, added the engine, cowling and wheels, then finished off the decalling. Not sure if it needs another varnish coat - looking at photos, the dope they used seemed to give a semi-gloss finish, which is how it looks at the moment. Reasonably happy with it - it isn't going to enter any contests, that's for sure!!

More pics in the Gallery!

Looks very good. No, they hadn't invented Dullcote until post-war, so you'll be just fine as is :)
