Good luck. I managed to rescue the Albatros when that happened, so it can be done!TobyC wrote:Thought I'd use super glue for sticking the struts. WRONG!!
Hopefully I can salvage the resulting disaster.

Not looking good. My attempts to resurrect this have not gone well with the main struts now being a total disaster. I think the problem lay in me not fitting them correctly in the first place hence throwing everything else out. I may well bin this and start something else.

I'm calling a halt to this for the moment whilst I have a rethink.
It may look ok but it's not.

I had trouble with this kit too, it was paused over a year ago and hasn't been restarted. Still, you got further than I did!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Don't bin it
It just needs the struts reworking a bit.

Thanks guys. I think I just need to get away from it for a while and then start again. I will be doing another bipe in a couple of days. I'm using the falling off horse, getting back on it straight away theory

When you come back to it; if you need to remove the struts, superglue release meant for fingers will work on the joints. A little bit of release worked into the joint with a paint brush then left for a short time [30 seconds will often do] and the joint will come apart clean. I've never had the release affecting paintwork.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
